Review: Label.m Conditioner

Hey guys, I hope you're all having a lovely weekend? Mine's been rather stressful so far due to car problems.. do I spend my money to get my car repaired or buy a new one?

Anyway, on to today's post..I am a massive fan of big hair and have been looking for a volumising shampoo or conditioner that actually works for quite some time. So when I was offered the opportunity to review a product for Label.m I jumped at the chance.

Label.m is a product range developed by Toni & Guy and consists of their ’4 c’s philosophy’ - Cleanse, Condition, Create and Complete.

Label.m kindly sent me one of their Thickening Conditioners to try, it's designed to volumize and thicken the hair with its rich and nourishing formula. The product smells delicious, it's not too overpowering and has a subtle citrusy scent.

As I have such long hair, the weight of it generally means I lack volume and bounce. I hate the feel of backcombed hair and am sure it's far more damaging than people realise. So the idea of a product that can create a 'big hair' effect, was definitely on my 'to try' list.

The Label.m conditioner retails at £12.95 for a generous 300ml bottle.

Although the Label.m range is more expensive than my usual shampoo & conditioner, it's had the desired effect so I definitely think it's worth the splurge!

Have you tried the Label.m range?

What a Lovely Week It's Been..

It’s Friday.. And there’s lots of exciting things happening.

Firstly, it’s a bank holiday weekend and I can’t wait for a cocktail tonight with the girls..

My new MacBook is being delivered tomorrow and I can’t wait to play with my new toy, although I’ve heard they’re quite confusing and hard to get used to.. Any tips?

I’ve also been asked to review products for two very prestigious Beauty Companies.. I’m so excited and can’t wait to try out some new products.. Of course I’ll be hosting another Giveaway so watch this space.. :)

As promised, here's a picture from last weekend of me wearing my River Island dress.

This picture has no relevance to my post but who needs an excuse to post a picture of their beautiful doggy?

Are you doing anything exciting this weekend? Fingers crossed we have good weather!

Celebrity Hot Spot

I thought I’d write a quick post on one of my favourite bar’s at the moment.. The Crazy Bear!

The Crazy Bear, Beaconsfield promises a delicious cocktail in beautiful quaint surroundings and has fast become one of my favourite places to visit with the girls on a Friday/ Saturday Night.

Unless you already know of the Crazy Bear, it’s unlikely you’ll stumble across it. I’ve walked past the entrance several times on nights out without even knowing it exists. The Bar isn’t well advertised and has a subtle entrance which is just a wooden front door. You won’t find bouncers outside or red carpets, it’s almost hidden to guarantee it’s exclusivity.

When I first visited the Crazy Bear with a friend, I was immediately drawn to the beautiful furnishings throughout. From the leave entwined staircase to French styled furniture, I fell in love from the word go.

The Courtyard

The cocktails are London prices, which I am happy to pay in such an exclusive, fancy bar.

On the few occasions I’ve visited the Crazy Bear, I’ve seen countless celebrities, from Made In Chelsea cast to Movie stars so it would be cruel not to share this place with my lovely readers.. right?

The bedrooms at the Crazy Bear are also very alluring

If you’re out on a budget but really want to visit this gorgeous bar, I would highly recommend going even if you just have a soft drink. It’s a really cool place to see and if you don’t have the funds to stretch to central London, Beaconsfield will promise a sophisticated night out, you could even visit the dance floor at Vodka Revs afterwards. ;)

Do you have any secret bar’s to recommend? Please share :)

Review: Dr LeWinn's Renunail Nail Strengthener

Any product that claims to repair damaged nails in 4 weeks is worth a try..

Handling animals every day and tacking up horses is great, but promises broken nails.
I’ve sporadically tried Acrylics and Shellac and whilst I’ve been happy with the look of them, the damage to my nails when they are removed is a sorry sight.

My nails are weak and brittle so the idea of using a minimal hassle strengthener is weirdly exciting.

I first heard of Dr Lewinns through a friend, a friend who has beautiful strong nails that looks like she’s just paid a visit to the nail bar.. every time I see her. She leant me her Dr Lewinns Renunail recently to try and sort out my sorry looking nails.

Upon opening the product I was immediately shocked by the strong chemical smell. Something excited me about this as Dr Lewinns seem to have focused solely on the repairing ingredients in the product opposed to the pretty packaging and scent.

The instructions for Renunail are to apply the product once daily to each nail for two weeks.
I am nearly 2 weeks in to my Dr Lewins Renunail process. And I have to say.. I am shocked at how dramatically different my nails are in this short time.

I applied two coats, every day for six days and then on the seventh day removed the whole lot and started again. I am now of the third day of the second week process and am so excited to see the end result of using this magical product.

The Dr Lewinns Renunail retails at £17 for a massive 30ml bottle.. Which makes paying £49 for a 30ml bottle of Coco Chanel seem slightly bonkers.

If you’re pretty useless with the upkeep of your nails, like me.. you could use this product as a base coat before you apply your normal colour.

To buy one of these incredible nail repair polishes, Dr Lewinn’s website is here

Have you got any nail strengthening products to recommend?

What To Wear To A Summer Wedding?

I think many of you would agree that wedding's are the best kind of event to attend, especially Summer weddings.. sunshine, champagne, friends and family.. Bliss! But it can be tricky knowing what to wear.

I have 7 weddings this year and have already begun planning my outfits.

I must say, I've found it suprisingly easy to shop for dresses this year with so many on trend prints and shades available.

So here are the dresses I have bought so far.. As always, the hardest thing was sticking to a budget..

This is the first dress I bought from Little Mistress. I have to say I'm very impressed with the quality and material. The lace band around the waist really pulls you in and was a steal at £65.00.

Here are a couple of pictures of me wearing my Little Mistress Dress at the first of 7 weddings this year..

Eathen and I at a wedding last weekend.

Of course I found the ponies..

This next dress I bought from River Island in Windsor. The bright print immediately stood out to me and I had to have it..

This dress was a bargain at £35.

I found the perfect pair of wedges to wear with this dress. These were a naughty splurge I know, but I'll definitely get the use out of them..

Christian Louboutin, £575

I think we've all seen this picture of Michelle Keegan wearing this blue lacey number.. I'm in love with the colour and lace detail. I managed to track this dress down at Want That Dress.

Im sure it wont look anywhere near as amazing on me as it does Michelle Keegan but for £18.99 a girl can try, right...?

So thats 3 dresses purchased and ready to be worn to the big days.. But what about the other 4? Any ideas?

Have you got any Weddings this year? If so, what are you wearing?

Hair for the Bride or Bridesmaids

Firstly I should apologise for my absence, life's been pretty hectic recently with moving house and a new job on the horizon.. Two of the biggest things changing at the same time is pretty daunting but everything seems to be falling into place now..

I did a Holiday Hair blog a few months ago which included different braids and buns.. Lots of you have been asking me for hair ideas for weddings and events so I thought i'd do a little post with bridal/ bridesmaid hair in mind.

The first look is a bridal braid bun (hard to say quickly, I know!)
This look is quite tricky to create but looks really effective and elegant. This is one of those hair do's where everybody 'Oohs' and 'Aahs'.

This is my friend Jen during our holiday in Mykonos

If your hair is dip dyed it gives a really nice effect to the bun with different colours swirling into the braid.

This look would be prefect for a bride or bridesmaid, especially if you added some daintly flowers or accessories to the bun.

I will be uploading a step by step video soon so keep an eye out for this..

 Happy Monday!
