Introducing the Daddy of all Eye Liners: Benefit’s They’re Real Liner

I was lucky enough to be sent one of Benefit’s Brand New ‘They’re Real’ Eye Liners before they hit the shelves.. Being a lover of the They’re Real Mascara, I was eager to see if this product lives up to its ‘They’re Real’ sibling.

The product itself is a smooth, matte, black gel. So whether you want to create a sexy cat-eye or cute kitten-flick, you need to try this.

Here's why:
  • The liner is a gel, In pen form! The tip of this pen is what really set it apart for me. It's not felt like most liner pens, It's thin, feels like silicone, and bends with the natural curve of your lash line as it dispenses the gel formula. The pen also helps to gently move your lashes out of the way so you can get closer to your lash line. It makes doing tricky wing tips and cat eyes a breeze.
  • It's a push-up liner, so with a few clicks, the gel is dispensed from the tip and you don't have to worry about it drying out like a felt tip.
  • There’s also the added bonus of not needing a brush. Hoorah!

As I’m writing this my sister is eagerly waiting for me to apply a ‘subtle wing’ to her eyes.

The product itself is a smooth, quick dry gel. It’s jet black which is great for strong definition but a little scary for those who are nervous applying eye liner. Let’s face it, we’ve all had at least one experience of the first eye going perfectly well and the second being a disaster.. then trying to save the second eye by panic smudging the mistake with our fingers only to create an even bigger smudge, followed by a panda eye thus meaning we have to remove the whole lot and start again..

..But fear not, the AccuFlex tip is a far cry from some of the typical liner brushes on the market, which usually make liner application stressful and messy. This product is super easy to use and is a must have in every girls make up bag!

Here are the results:

Will you be getting your hands on the Benefit Push Up Liner (£18.50) when it launches in July?

Peachy Pink Lips

Peachy Pink Lips

Peachy Pink lips are a bit of an addiction for me.. They're so easy to wear without looking too dressy for the day time but add the perfect pop of colour to any outfit.

Peachy pinks are always well complimented with a sun tan so with this lovely weather making an appearance, what better time to restock your lippy favourites..

I’ll start with the brightest, most daring colour of corals..

This is one of the new ‘Lasting finish’ matte lipsticks by Kate Moss for Rimmel. This colour is Vibrant Coral 110.
This gorgeous colour has been around for a while but is now available in a velvety matte finish, it’s well pigmented with an enriched formula to intensify the colour.

Next up is Nars Beautiful Liar it’s a coral shade with minute shimmer. The formula includes hydrating conditioners which are intended to keep the lips well moisturized to ensure long Gevity.

This next product I am truly excited about..

I adore the Benefit Lip and cheek stains (Posie Tint, ChaCha Tint and Bene Tint) so when I heard about the ‘ChaCha Balm’ I got super excited. I make a point of wearing little to no make-up on holiday so this tinted balm will definitely be in my beach bag.

The balm doesn't provide an awful lot of colour so is intended to be worn over the top of ChaCha Tint. Having said that, the balm is perfect for me for the day time providing a touch of colour and a silky sheen.

I LOVE all of these colours so much, I wear atleast one of them everyday! So tell me, what are your favourite peachy pinks?

Cute Holiday Hair

And.. it’s Monday already.. how quickly did the weekend go? I hope you all had a lovely couple of days off in the sun!

I’ve just returned from the most incredible holiday in Mykonos, Greece and when I wasn’t lounging by the pool with a mojito in hand, or snorkeling in the beautiful Aegean sea, I was playing around with my friends hair creating cool braids and messy up do’s.

We were sipping cocktails in Little Venice one afternoon (civilized I know) when several ladies approached us to comment on how cool our hair looked.. so for that reason I thought I’d share a couple of pictures.

The first look is created using a doughnut bun. At the time I didn’t think to take step by step pictures so a video tutorial will soon be on its way..

This look is fairly tricky to create, but looks really chic and intricate, especially if you have different colours through your hair like my friend Jen.

This style was perfect for a cute day in Little Venice but would also be ideal for a Bridesmaid.

This is look 2 which I styled on my beautiful sister. She wanted a casual beachy look but a style that kept her hair out of the way whilst sunbathing.

This look is easily created and comfortably fastened with a hair grip - Perfect for a day at the pool!

Braid of the Day

I absolutely LOVE braids!

The fishtail braid is easily one of my favourites and is perfect for both the office and the fast approaching summer festivals.

There are different looks you can create with fishtails but my favourite is soft and pretty. It's easy to create and can dress up any outfit.

Fishtail plaits are the perfect style for me as I have long hair. This look takes me less than 5 minutes and lasts all day - it even stays in place during a 5 hour hack through the woods and rivers!

This is my beautiful Cocker Spaniel, Daisy. I hope you like dogs as I'm sure she'll be featuring in most blogs!

Shirt: H&M
Leggings: Topshop
Sunglasses: Rayban
Sandals: River Island

Thanks for taking the time to read my blog. Please comment below if you have any tips or tricks.

Have a lovely weekend!
