I was lucky enough to be sent one of Benefit’s Brand New
‘They’re Real’ Eye Liners before they hit the shelves.. Being a lover of the
They’re Real Mascara, I was eager to see if this product lives up to its ‘They’re
Real’ sibling.
The
product itself is a smooth, matte, black gel. So whether you want to create a
sexy cat-eye or cute kitten-flick, you need to try this.
Here's
why:
- The liner is a gel, In pen form! The tip of this pen is what really set it apart for me. It's not felt like most liner pens, It's thin, feels like silicone, and bends with the natural curve of your lash line as it dispenses the gel formula. The pen also helps to gently move your lashes out of the way so you can get closer to your lash line. It makes doing tricky wing tips and cat eyes a breeze.
- It's a push-up liner, so with a few clicks, the gel is dispensed from the tip and you don't have to worry about it drying out like a felt tip.
- There’s also the added bonus of not needing a brush. Hoorah!
As I’m writing this my sister is eagerly waiting for me to
apply a ‘subtle wing’ to her eyes.
The product itself is a smooth, quick dry gel. It’s jet
black which is great for strong definition but a little scary for those who are
nervous applying eye liner. Let’s face it, we’ve all had at least one experience
of the first eye going perfectly well and the second being a disaster.. then
trying to save the second eye by panic smudging the mistake with our fingers
only to create an even bigger smudge, followed by a panda eye thus meaning we
have to remove the whole lot and start again..
..But fear not, the AccuFlex tip is a far cry from some of the typical
liner brushes on the market, which usually make liner application stressful and
messy. This product is super easy to use and is a must have in every girls make up bag!

Will you be getting your hands on the Benefit Push Up Liner (£18.50) when it launches in July?

You do such a perfect cat-eye! I'm not yet sold on this liner, I read many reviews saying the formula was a bit dry and flaky. I'm still undecided but the mascara is easily my favorite/best ever.
ReplyDeleteHi Lauren, thank you that's very sweet :)
DeleteAs a new product i'm very impressed with the consistency and application of this product however that could change if the product dries out quickly and becomes flaky.. i'll keep you updated :)
As for the They're Real mascara, I agree it's the best on the market!
Have a lovely weekend!

I'm so rubbish at doing eyeliner so I'm excited to try this new Benefit one! When is it available?
ReplyDeleteI agree with Lauren their mascara is hands down the best!!
Hi Beauty Addict,
DeleteThanks for your post :)
The They're Real liner is available in the UK on 27/06/2014. - I would put yourself on the wait list in one of the Benefit consessions as it is likely to sell out quickly due to the publicity it's had!

Great post! Have been on the fence with this product due to mixed reviews--but I do love the super-matte look of it, which your photos show off well.

Ooh, I've been meaning to try a new liquid eyeliner for a while so may have to purchase this! I use benefit browzings and love it so this could well become a beauty staple. Your cateye application is perfect too, I'm jel haha!

You have lovely eyes! :) I'm still a bit undecided on whether I like this or not! I'm going to give it another few goes before I review it properly but my first impressions was that it was quite dry and flaky??? Hmmm..I really want to like it though!

Everyone use to always say how tricky gel eyeliner can be to apply, so I've always stayed clear of it. But you've made it looks so easy with this pen, the only thing that's off putting now is the price, but it looks totally worth it! Nice review - your blog looks great :)
